The work in this exhibition juxtaposes the duality of contemporary existence, straddling the psychological crevasse between environmental anxiety and sheer joy in the profound beauty of these ecosystems. Work exhibited includes suspended sculptural installations, video projection, and painting.

When A Tree Thrives, solo, Garver Feed Mill, Madison, WI, February 7 - April 15, 2021

An installation exploring forests, atmosphere, photosynthesis, and climate. Funded in part by the Madison Arts Commission and Garver Feed

Spirit tree sculptures: beaded and embroidered crushed tulle, sequins, pearl beads, embroidery floss, yarn, painted lace. Height 140,” base diameters vary from 18” to 65”

Atmosphere particles: multi-color monofilament, particles cut from plastic bottles, buttons, beads, sequins. Height varies from 48” - 144”


 

Emeralds To Ashes, Solo, Truax Gallery, Madison College, Madison, WI, November 2018 pROJECT VIDEO

Installation exploring the life cycle of the emerald ash borer beetle and its devastating impact on the ash tree in North America. Funded in part by an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Madison Arts Commission. Included several community workshops with middle school and college students.
